Fernando Alana is currently Executive Director of LANGUNE - the Association Cluster of Language Industries of the Basque Country. It brings together some of the most important organisations in the fields of Translation, Language Teaching, Multilingual Management and Language Technology in the Basque Country.

Before that, his professional career was linked to the ICT sector, in GAIA,  the Basque Country’s Cluster Association of Electronic and Information Technology Industries, as head of the technology and competitiveness area.

Fernando Alana holds an Honours Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (EHU/UPV), an Executive MBA from the ESIC Business Marketing School, a course related to Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC), from Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness and finally, a University Diploma in Design and Project Management from the University of Valencia.
